Retro Classics Stuttgart steht für wirklich große Oldtimer Messe. Viele Mercedes Klassiker, viele Besucher, viel Schnee. Am Eingang ist mein erster Gedanke derselbe, wie im letzten Jahr: Oh Shit Frau Schmitt, wir werden es wieder nicht schaffen, alle Hallen zu sehen. Das bedeutet auch, dass wir nicht jeden Stern fotografieren können. Kein Drama zwar, schmeckt aber ungefähr, wie 2 CL Bactofin in einem Viertelliter Ballistol. Probieren Sie das lieber nicht.
Wir wollen möglichst viele Baureihen sehen, dabei Infos sammeln und auch noch fotografieren. Da bleibt keine andere Wahl, als sich im ersten Schritt an den traditionellen Stuttgart Mercedes Spots zu tummeln. Dieser erste Schritt war ungefähr 15 Kilometer lang, führte uns in unzähligen Gängen an unzählige Stände, begann um 11 Uhr und endete um 19 Uhr. Dann wurden die Messehallen abgeschlossen.
Auf der Heimfahrt kämpft sich der 230E durch die Schneemassen, ein Panzerkreuzer im Forellenteich. Vorbei an rastlosen Autofahrern, die im Infight mit der Leitplanke zu Boden gehen, vorbei an Trucks, die sich selbst überholen. Von hinten nach vorne im Querformat. Am Ende des Tages „Ein Donnerstag auf der Retro Classics 2020“ bleibt genug Material für eine dreiteilige Fotostrecke voller toller Sterne. Viel Spaß mit Teil 1.
Retro Classics Stuttgart stands for a really big classic car fair. Lots of Mercedes classics, lots of visitors, lots of snow today. At the entrance, my first thought is the same as last year: Oh Shit Ms. Schmitt, again we won`t be able to see all the halls. It also means that we cannot make pictures of every wonderful Mercedes here. Not a big big drama, but it tastes roughly like 2 CL Bactofin in a quarter liter Ballistol. Better not try that.
We want to see as many Mercedes Modells as possible, collect informations and also take photos. There is no choice but to concentrate on the traditionell Stuttgart Mercedes spots in the first step. This first step was about 15 kilometers long, it took us in countless aisles to countless stands, startet at 11 a.m. and endet a 7 p.m. Then, the exhibitions halls were closed.
On the way home, the 230E struggles through the snow like a tank cruiser in the trout pond. Past restless drivers who go down with the guardrail in the infight, past trucks that overtake themselves. From back to front in landscape format. At the end of the day „A Thursday at the Retro Classics 2020“ brought enough material for a three-part photo series full of great Mercedes Benz.
